An overview of work created as Motion Graphic Artist for season one of
Yahoo! Sports x Complex Networks Mostly Football
Design + Animation Reel
A reel of work generated in the 7 month span of the show.
I included clips from the live show to give the creative context.

The Role:
Concept, design and animate graphics solutions for sports, culture and everything else variety show Mostly Football.

Design and animate in adherence with style guide, live studio set aesthetic and larger than life personality of host Martellus Bennett.
Facilitate and balance weekly graphic requests for multiple show and segment producers.
Iterate on projects with overlapping deadlines while accommodating smaller daily and day of show requests.

Statistic Cards
Design Objective: Create a network sports broadcast statistic card injected with the style of Mostly Football.
An emphasis was placed on statistic legibility on handheld sized mobile screens and conventional larger screens alike.
All designs based on 120 pixel grid as defined in show style guide.
Fantasy Lit Monitor Loops
Design Objective: Create a fun and fantasy literature themed open and easy to update monitor loop.

Monitor loop featuring breakout players from the week.
Monitor loop displayed during Fantasy Lit segment with host Ben Lyons and Yahoo! Sports' Liz Loza.
Super Bowl Cage Match
Design Objective: Create a series of statistic cards in the vein of a mixed martial arts/boxing tale of the tape.
With Brendan Schaub (ex-MMA fighter, comedian) as guest for our Super Bowl matchup segment, a cage match theme was selected for the statistic cards.
The design called for flexible spacing of text elements and ease of revision as some copy and matchups were finalized day of show.
Judge The Fit Open
Design Objective: Showcase the best and most notoriously dressed players in the NFL each week.
A concept of stadium tunnel combined with chic neon fashion runway were selected for setting.
The open needed to allow for fast and easy updates to featured fashionable players each week.
Time was tight from initial concept to final render for the first week version.
The tunnel and runway were modeled and lit in Cinema 4D.
Online stock was silhouetted in Photoshop for the crowds.
In After Effects, the tunnel and runway were composited with the silhouettes arranged on either side of runway and stacked in front between viewer perspective and runway to create a sense of depth in the scene.
Vignette and final color adjustments applied in After Effects to tie it all together.
A camera flash motif was chosen to cycle through the featured players and keep animation simple for later iterations.
Camera flashes pop from left and right, new player is revealed as we push in.
A final set of flashes reveals  segment title.
Tunnel and crowd barely visible, illuminated runway brings eyes to segment title.

The Marty Awards Open
Design Objective: Create an elegant Hollywood awards show open for the weekly Marty Awards segment.

A custom trophy was created in Cinema 4D, combining an extruded MF logo with trophy model. "THE MARTY'S" text was created and wrapped around the base
of the trophy.

Slow and smooth camera moves were employed to show closeups of important parts of the trophy.
Volumetric lighting was used to further enhance the mood.
After Effects was used to balance the background, trophy and title text in composite.
